This is for a Junior to Mid-Level Associate role, targeting JD years 2022-2025.
The position is with the Sovereign Finance team, based in the New York or Washington, DC office.
Fluency in both Portuguese and Spanish is a mandatory requirement.
You will advise sovereign governments, sub-sovereigns, state-owned enterprises, and international financial institutions (e.g., IMF, World Bank, IDB).
The work involves complex global capital markets transactions, including sovereign bond offerings, liability management, derivatives, financings, refinancings, and sovereign debt restructurings.
You will contribute to innovative transactions, such as aggregated collective action clauses, USAID-guaranteed issuances, sukuk bonds, and diaspora bonds.
Candidates need outstanding academic credentials and strong drafting and analytical skills.
Required experience includes capital markets, finance, sovereign debt, project finance, or related cross-border transactional matters.
You must be eligible for bar admission in the jurisdiction of application (New York or Washington, DC).
The salary range is $225,000 - $310,000, commensurate with experience, with eligibility for an hours-based bonus.
