Overview

Mid-level Associate for the Government Contracts & National Security practice in Washington, D.C.
Practice areas include litigation, investigations, export control, cybersecurity, mergers & acquisitions, and general counseling.
Represent clients in complex, multi-billion dollar contract award challenges for aerospace and defense companies.
Negotiate novel agreements with the government, such as OTAs, CRADAs, and TIAs.
Advise on grant requirements and compliance (e.g., Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS Act), federal audits, and enforcement actions.
Minimum of 3 years of prior legal experience in government contracts law is required.
Must possess strong research, writing, and analytic skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required D.C. Bar admission or eligibility for immediate admission.
Prior judicial clerkship for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit or Court of Federal Claims is preferred.
Academic training in government contracts law is advantageous.
Experience with, or a strong interest in, M&A transactions involving government contractors (e.g., due diligence, asset/stock purchase agreements, novations) is a plus.
Salary range: $260,000 to $365,000, commensurate with experience, with eligibility for an hours-based bonus.
