Overview

  • Seeking a mid- to senior-level Affordable Housing Associate requiring 3+ years of law firm experience focused on affordable housing transactions.
  • Work with a national team advising for-profit and nonprofit developers, investors, and governmental entities on housing projects across the country.
  • Expertise is required in affordable housing finance, development, and incentives, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) closings (4% and 9%), refinancing, acquisitions, dispositions, and exits.
  • Core responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating debt and equity transaction documents, and conducting necessary due diligence.
  • Candidates must have a strong academic record and a J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Required professional attributes include strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to the role, the ability to manage work under tight deadlines, and clear oral and written communication.
  • This position offers flexibility to work from Austin, Dallas, Houston (TX), Chicago (IL), Orlando (FL), or Washington, D.C.
  • For Chicago and Washington, D.C., the expected annual salary range is $245,000 - $385,000. Salaries in other locations will vary based on experience, education, region, and skills.
  • Associates participate in a performance- and hours-based bonus program.
