Overview

Junior- to Mid-Level Associate (2-4 years post-JD) sought for the Healthcare Privacy and Compliance team.
The role focuses on providing legal services to regional, national, and global healthcare industry clients.
Key responsibilities include incident response for privacy and cyber events, such as ransomware and business email compromises.
Assist clients with regulatory investigations from state and federal agencies under HIPAA and applicable state laws.
Provide proactive HIPAA privacy compliance guidance and data security incident response preparedness training.
Offer legal counsel on emerging issues affecting the healthcare industry, including artificial intelligence.
Required experience includes 2-4 years post-JD in privacy/cybersecurity OR litigation with a demonstrated interest in healthcare, privacy, or cybersecurity.
Candidates must have an understanding of healthcare operations and knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
Experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or a boutique firm specializing in healthcare law or data privacy is preferred.
Desired skills include strong project management, excellent writing and oral communication, the ability to interpret and explain technical information to non-technical clients, and strong problem-solving judgment.
Positions are available in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, or Philadelphia.
For the Chicago office, the expected annual salary range is $235,000 - $285,000, supplemented by a performance- and hours-based bonus program.
