Overview

  • Junior- to mid-level associate position (2nd to 4th year) on the Healthcare Privacy and Compliance team.
  • Manage privacy and cybersecurity incident response for healthcare clients, including ransomware and business email compromises.
  • Represent clients in regulatory investigations under HIPAA and applicable state laws.
  • Provide proactive HIPAA privacy compliance counseling and data security incident response preparedness training.
  • Advise healthcare clients on new legal challenges, such as those related to artificial intelligence.
  • Required: 2-4 years of experience in privacy/cybersecurity OR litigation, with a demonstrated interest in healthcare, privacy, or cybersecurity.
  • Essential understanding of healthcare operations and HIPAA compliance.
  • Preference for candidates with AmLaw 200 firm experience or experience from a boutique firm specializing in healthcare law or data privacy.
  • Key skills include exceptional project management, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to translate technical findings for non-technical clients.
  • Role demands good judgment, problem-solving skills, and effective collaboration within a cross-office team leveraging digital platforms.
  • Positions available in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, OH, or Denver, CO.
  • Expected annual salary range for Cleveland and Denver is $215,000 - $225,000; salaries for other locations will vary based on experience, education, and geographic region.
  • Additional compensation includes a performance- and hours-based bonus program.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, PTO, 10 paid holidays, 401(k), and 10 weeks of parental leave.
