Overview

  • Patent Agent position available in multiple offices: Atlanta, GA; Austin, Dallas, Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, OH; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Orlando, FL; Philadelphia, PA; Seattle, WA; Washington D.C.; Wilmington, DE.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • A minimum of three years of experience, specifically within an Intellectual Property law firm, is required.
  • Demonstrated strong writing, research, and analytical skills, along with a solid academic record, are essential.
  • Core responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting patents, and preparing responses to office actions.
  • Will prepare, obtain, and analyze patent searches, and provide assessments on patentability, prior art, non-infringement, and validity.
  • Responsibilities also involve conducting IP due diligence, providing client counseling, managing portfolios, and assisting with licensing.
  • Experience working with software development is preferred.
  • The annual salary ranges from $130,000 to $180,000, determined by factors such as location, experience level, education, and relevant skills.
  • Eligibility for a performance- and hours-based bonus program is included.
  • Benefits offered include a 401(k) plan, group health, dental, vision, life, and short and long-term disability insurance.
