Lead projects involving artificial intelligence (AI), automation, document automation (e.g., Contract Express), and other emerging legal technologies.
Translate legal and business requirements into actionable specifications, acting as a liaison between attorneys and information services teams to implement technology and process improvements.
Identify use cases for existing firm technologies and develop business cases for new tools that support legal practice innovation and operational efficiency.
Manage technology implementation projects using agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with firm objectives.
Evaluate and recommend new legal technology tools, while developing deep subject matter expertise in technologies relevant to legal practice.
Engage with and educate attorneys on emerging technologies through presentations, firm events, and consultations to foster adoption and gather feedback.
Build strong relationships across practice groups, administrative teams, and with clients to support collaborative innovation initiatives.
Requires a Juris Doctorate (JD) and 3-5 years of progressively responsible work experience, preferably within a law firm, with a background in innovation or technology.
Candidates should possess strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal research systems, and visual collaboration tools (e.g., Lucid, Miro).
The annual salary range is $145,000-$175,000 for Ohio, Georgia, Texas, Florida, and Colorado, and $155,000-$195,000 for California, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Washington D.C., and Washington.
