Support Litigation attorneys as a Paralegal for Ballard Spahr in their San Francisco office.
This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days per week in the San Francisco office.
Responsibilities include managing large and complex caseloads, with a focus on class action matters.
Perform case organization, discovery, fact gathering, research, and compile/summarize information.
Draft legal documents and correspondence for attorney review; prepare and file court documents (electronic and paper) in State and Federal Courts.
Assist attorneys through all phases of trial, arbitration, hearings, and depositions.
Coordinate efforts with attorneys, clients, outside counsel, opposing counsel, other parties, and vendors.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate, plus a minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
Strong experience handling class action litigation is highly desirable.
Deep knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures, and electronic filing requirements is essential.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, NetDocs, and other data entry applications is required. Experience with Relativity and Court Alert is highly desirable.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000 annually.
