This is a Trust and Estates Paralegal position within Ballard Spahr's Private Client Services team.
The role is based in the Minneapolis office, requiring a hybrid schedule of three days per week in-office.
You will work closely under the guidance of a Business and Transactions lawyer.
Core responsibilities include administering estates from probate through final settlement, including identifying, gathering, and valuing decedent's assets.
You will prepare probate documents, inheritance and estate tax returns, fiduciary accountings, tax projections, and liquidity estimates.
The role also involves maintaining financial records for fiduciary accounting and tax preparation, and preparing distribution schedules, family settlement agreements, and other estate and trust settlement documentation.
Prior relevant experience as a Trust and Estates Paralegal is required.
A bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate are preferred qualifications.
Proficiency is necessary with accounting and tax preparation software (e.g., OneSource/Zane, GEMs, or ProSystem fx), as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $115,000, with actual pay dependent on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
