The role involves advising on the formation, structuring, operation, and financing of a wide range of private investment funds (including private equity, hedge fund, credit, venture, and crypto-focused funds) for both established and new sponsors.
Key responsibilities include drafting, revising, and negotiating fund documents; coordinating all aspects of fund launches and closings; and assisting with ongoing federal and state regulatory filings and compliance obligations for RIAs, exempt reporting advisers, and other advisers.
Specific experience and demonstrated knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 are required.
Prior fund formation experience is a requirement for this position.
This is a hybrid role with some telecommuting flexibility, but the associate must be able to work from the New York, New York office as needed.
Approximately 10% domestic travel is required per client or firm needs.
