Overview

Serve as a Knowledge Lawyer for the New York Funds team, providing specialized practice support.
Provide legal research, guidance, and resource recommendations on diverse fund matters, including maintaining legal opinion templates and facilitating access to firm resources.
Collect, curate, and make accessible precedents, templates, checklists, and other know-how materials relevant to fund matters, collaborating on firm-wide knowledge management initiatives.
Identify and pilot Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other legal technology solutions for private fund work, in conjunction with legal technology teams.
Monitor and report on litigation, SEC enforcement, regulatory developments, market trends, risks, and best practices relevant to funds, providing regular updates to the team.
Develop and produce thought leadership content, including client briefings, blog posts, and conference presentations, and contribute to business development materials.
Organize and deliver internal and external training sessions on relevant legal topics and developments, including coordinating NY CLE credit and providing tailored training for new joiners.
Requires a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited US law school and active admission to the New York Bar.
Must have at least five years of experience practicing law in fund formation, preferably with closed-ended, private fund structures and related regulatory considerations.
Requires strong legal research and analytical skills, the ability to create and manage legal precedents, and experience organizing and producing training sessions and presentations for lawyers and clients.
The salary range for this role is $230,000 - $285,000, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
