Overview

Work within a patent counseling, prosecution, and litigation practice.
Core responsibilities include conducting prior art searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses, analyzing patent and scientific papers, drafting patent applications and responses to office actions, and advising lawyers on technology issues for depositions.
Requires a degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
Prior industry experience is necessary.
Strong background in computer science or electrical engineering, with an understanding of hardware/software interaction. Expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English, including the ability to simplify complex technical concepts (e.g., machine learning) for non-technical audiences like in-house counsel and executives.
Must meet eligibility requirements for and be able to sit for the USPTO patent agent registration exam.
The expected annual salary range for this position is $125,000 - $228,000, with final offers dependent on geographic location, experience, and skillset.

Paid time off includes 4 weeks of vacation, 2 weeks of sick time, and 10 paid holidays annually.
