Overview

This is a Patent Agent position focusing on patent counseling and prosecution.
Key responsibilities include conducting prior art searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
You will analyze patent and scientific documents to assist attorneys with patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation matters.
The role also involves drafting patent applications and preparing responses to office actions.
A degree in material, chemical, mechanical, or biomedical engineering (or a related field) is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
Candidates must have substantive industry experience, specifically within chemical engineering or material science, complemented by broad scientific knowledge in mechanical and/or biomedical engineering.
You must be a registered US Patent Agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet all registration requirements.
Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English are essential for this role.
The annual salary range for this position is $125,000 - $228,000, which will vary based on geographic location, experience, and skillset.
