Overview

  • This is a Commercial Litigation Paralegal position based in Chicago, requiring a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
  • The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000.
  • A minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience is required, along with an Associate’s degree and/or paralegal certificate.
  • Experience in commercial litigation and trial preparation is preferred.
  • Responsibilities include assisting attorneys in all litigation stages, preparing and e-filing legal documents in state and federal court, and comprehensive case file management.
  • You will handle document management tasks such as review, proofreading, Bates labeling, and compiling information for discovery responses, pleadings, and motions.
  • Key duties involve performing factual research and investigation, leading subpoena and third-party records retrieval, and drafting correspondence and memoranda.
  • Experience with medical records, including preparing chronologies and summaries, is required.
  • Familiarity with e-discovery processes, encompassing the technical aspects of collecting, reviewing, and producing electronically stored information, is expected.
  • You will be involved in trial preparation and attendance, which includes organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and scheduling witnesses.
  • Proficiency in software such as Relativity, LiveNote, Case/Time Map, Summation, Adobe Acrobat, and Trial Director is a plus.
  • The role requires managing confidential information discreetly, working independently, prioritizing tasks, and accurately entering time in billing systems.
  • You must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
