Overview

  • Conflicts Staff Attorney position with an AmLaw 100 law firm.
  • Role can be fully remote for candidates within reasonable commuting distance of the New York City or Washington D.C. offices.
  • Primary responsibility involves performing conflicts analysis for prospective and existing client matters in accordance with firm risk management procedures.
  • Key tasks include analyzing conflicts database searches, assisting attorneys in clearing potential conflicts, identifying conflicts of interest, and drafting waivers.
  • Additional duties include participating in attorney and staff training sessions, updating training materials, running special searches, and supporting risk management initiatives.
  • Requires a Juris Doctor (JD) and 3+ years of attorney experience conducting conflicts analysis in a large law firm environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of conflict-of-interest rules under the Rules of Professional Conduct is essential.
  • Necessary skills include strong analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience with Intapp Open or similar products is preferred.
  • Annualized salary range for New York City is $153,000 to $173,000. For Washington D.C., the range is $133,000 to $157,000. Actual pay is adjusted based on experience and other factors.
  • Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance, fertility and adoption benefits, tuition reimbursement, retirement contributions, two paid volunteer days, and a paid sabbatical after 13 years of service.
