Overview

  • This is a Conflicts Staff Attorney position at an AmLaw 100 law firm.
  • The role offers full remote flexibility, provided you are within reasonable commuting distance of the New York or Washington D.C. offices.
  • Primary responsibilities include conducting and analyzing conflicts database searches for new clients and matters, identifying potential conflicts, and assisting attorneys in clearing them by drafting waivers.
  • You will also support risk management initiatives, participate in and update training materials for conflicts and new business intake processes, and run specialized searches (e.g., prior attorney relations, potential mergers).
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as an attorney performing conflict analysis; prior experience in a large law firm environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of conflict-of-interest rules under the Rules of Professional Conduct is essential.
  • Key skills include strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal abilities, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the capacity to build relationships with attorneys. Experience with Intapp Open or similar conflicts software is preferred.
  • For the New York office, the annualized salary range is $153,000 to $173,000, with actual pay adjusted based on experience and other factors.
  • For the Washington D.C. office, the annualized salary range is $133,000 to $157,000, with actual pay adjusted based on experience and other factors.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for a bonus, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, disability, life insurance, 401(k) with contributions, and paid vacation and sick time.
  • Additional benefits include 2 paid volunteer days, fertility and adoption benefits, a paid sabbatical after 13 years of service, tuition reimbursement, and commuter programs.
