Core responsibilities include conducting U.S. and preliminary multinational trademark clearance searches (including using SAEGIS and/or Corsearch databases), analyzing results, and preparing opinions.
The role involves managing domestic and international trademark prosecution, drafting and responding to Office Actions, and coordinating with foreign counsel on international filings and portfolio management.
Key tasks include supporting trademark enforcement matters (cease-and-desist letters, investigation, strategy), assisting with TTAB proceedings (drafting discovery, motions, evidence collection), and UDRP proceedings (drafting Complaints/Answers).
The associate will advise clients on trademark portfolio strategy, brand protection, copyright registration, and related IP issues, as well as prepare trademark and copyright licenses and assignments.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with due diligence and other IP-related tasks in support of corporate transactions.
Associates work directly with clients and gain meaningful responsibility early in their careers within the group.
