Associate position within a global Cybersecurity, Privacy & AI practice.
Requires 4-7 years of post-qualification experience, including prior large law firm experience.
Provide strategic counseling on product development, governance programs, and compliance.
Advise clients on the legal landscape for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related governance matters.
Conduct deal diligence and provide support for mergers & acquisitions, financings, and commercial transactions.
Manage data breach incident response, including investigations and ransom negotiations.
Defend clients against government regulatory enforcement actions from U.S. and global regulators (e.g., FTC, OCR/HSS, SEC, EU regulators, state Attorneys General).
Litigate privacy, cybersecurity, and AI-related class action cases.
Advise on federal and state privacy laws, including Section 5 FTC, COPPA, VPPA, CAN-SPAM, FERPA, CCPA/CPRA, state data breach laws, and HIPAA.
Familiarity with EU/UK GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and international data transfer requirements is preferred.
Working knowledge of data-driven technologies (e.g., AI/ML, biometrics) and their global regulatory frameworks is required.
Annual salary starts at $310,000, commensurate with class year and experience.
Position available in any US office, with a preference for Boston, Los Angeles, or San Francisco.
