Overview

  • Litigation Associate role focused on environmental law within a global firm.
  • Practice involves administrative proceedings, alternative dispute resolution, and civil actions related to environmental disputes.
  • Work collaboratively on matters including oversight of contaminated sites, environmental compliance counseling, and incident response.
  • Requires 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience; prior environmental experience is preferred but not mandatory. Essential interest in environmental law.
  • Key responsibilities include managing cases from inception to conclusion, conducting factual investigations, and client interaction.
  • Draft research memos, motions, briefs, pleadings, and all discovery documents.
  • Manage all aspects of discovery (including e-discovery), prepare for and conduct depositions, and argue motions.
  • Prepare for, assist in, and conduct hearings and trials.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication, drafting, and legal research skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills for managing complex projects like document review.
  • Ability to work with complex technical materials and synthesize intricate factual and legal concepts with high attention to detail. No scientific background is required.
  • Flexibility to work across various areas including litigation, transactional, real property, and administrative law.
  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar.
