Overview

DLA Piper is seeking a Corporate Associate for its Philadelphia office.
Candidates should have 2-5 years of corporate experience, with a preference for experience gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
The role focuses on executing merger and acquisitions (M&A) transactions for private and public companies.
Key responsibilities include drafting and direct negotiation of principal acquisition agreements.
Additional duties involve conducting legal research and writing (memos, contracts), managing complex transactions, client interaction, and ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Associates will collaborate with legal and business professionals on transaction strategies, participate in client calls/meetings, engage in professional development, and contribute to firm and pro bono initiatives.
Required qualifications include a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, active admission to practice in Pennsylvania, and a strong academic background.
Essential skills include strong written and verbal communication, research, analytical, problem-solving, judgment, and organizational abilities, along with attention to detail and the capacity to work collaboratively and independently.
The expected hiring salary range for this position is $235,000 - $365,000 per year, dependent on location, experience, skills, and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is also offered.
This is a hybrid role, requiring regular in-office presence with some flexibility for working from home.
