Overview

This is a Finance Associate position with DLA Piper.
The role focuses on Fund Finance and Private Credit transactions within the firm's Leveraged Finance subgroup.
Clients include lead arrangers, direct lenders, sub line lenders, NAV lenders, borrowers, issuers, and corporates.
Candidates must have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in fund finance, private credit, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, or structured finance.
Core responsibilities include legal research and analysis, drafting legal documents (briefs, motions, contracts, correspondence), assisting with and managing complex transactions, building client relationships, and ensuring compliance.
Professional engagement involves collaborating on transaction strategies, participating in high-level legal activities (e.g., court hearings, depositions), and actively pursuing professional development.
Required qualifications are a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar admission in the state of the officing location.
Essential skills include excellent written and verbal communication, strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, attention to detail, sound business judgment, and the capacity to work both collaboratively and independently.
