Overview

DLA Piper is seeking a mid-level Finance Associate to join its Sports, Media & Entertainment group.
This role is available in either the firm's Los Angeles or New York office.
Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of debt finance experience from a law firm.
A JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission in the state of practice are required.
The position involves representing global entertainment companies, banks, asset managers, private credit funds, and media entrepreneurs in various financing transactions.
Experience should include senior, junior, mezzanine, structured debt, and equity financings, with a strong focus on drafting and negotiating secured lending agreements.
Preferred experience includes media financing structures (music, film, TV), private credit, and/or ABS/structured financing transactions.
Key skills include strong analytical, drafting, negotiating, and written communication abilities, along with the capacity to manage complex transactions and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with substantive debt finance, entertainment, and copyright law, especially concerning the acquisition and financing of media assets like music catalogs or film libraries, is a plus.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $310,000 - $390,000, depending on experience and qualifications, complimented by a comprehensive benefits package.
The firm operates on a hybrid work model, requiring a regular in-office presence with some flexibility for remote work.
