Requires 3-6 years of direct, applicable M&A or Private Equity transactional experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
The role focuses on advising strategic buyers, sellers, and private equity firms on M&A matters, including running high-profile transactions.
Candidates must possess a JD from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in Florida.
Key responsibilities include conducting legal research and analysis, drafting legal documents (memos, contracts), assisting with and managing complex M&A transactions from inception through closing, and direct client interaction.
Essential skills include superior academic credentials, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, along with sound business judgment.
Associates are expected to collaborate with colleagues, ensure compliance with legal standards, engage in professional development, and contribute to firm and community initiatives, including pro bono work.
The expected annual hiring range for this position is $260,000 - $390,000, dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k).
This is a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a regular in-office presence with some flexibility for remote work.
