Overview

Seeking a Private Equity Associate to join DLA Piper's San Francisco or Palo Alto office.
The role focuses on advising strategic buyers, sellers, and private equity firms on M&A matters.
Candidates must have 3-6 years of M&A or Private Equity experience, preferably from an AmLaw 100 corporate law firm.
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required, along with active admission to the California bar and superior academic credentials.
Core responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting complex legal documents (memos, contracts), and managing transactions from inception to resolution.
Requires strong client interaction skills, including building relationships, providing updates, and offering advice.
Collaboration with other legal and business professionals on transaction strategies is expected.
Essential skills include excellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and professional judgment abilities.
The expected annual salary range for this position is $260,000 - $390,000, dependent on market location, experience, and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided.
This is a hybrid role, requiring regular in-office presence with some flexibility for remote work.
