Overview

This Associate will primarily handle domestic and international trademark strategy, clearance, prosecution, and enforcement matters.
The role involves copyright strategy, analysis, and filings, as well as addressing digital content issues such as fair use, UDRP complaints, and online enforcement and takedown requests.
Responsibilities include drafting intellectual property related agreements, such as licenses and rights transfer agreements, and assisting with intellectual property due diligence in purchase, sale, and financing transactions.
The work may also encompass opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (with litigation support as needed), and advertising, marketing, and unfair competition matters.
Required experience includes specific expertise in trademark clearance, prosecution and enforcement; copyright prosecution and enforcement; domain name disputes and UDRP proceedings; intellectual property assignments or licensing; intellectual property-related due diligence in corporate transactions; and DMCA compliance matters.
Candidates with experience in intellectual property agreements (beyond licensing) and/or in advertising, contest, sweepstakes, and media/entertainment matters are preferred.
The position offers the option to elect a lower billable-hours track with a proportional reduction in salary.
