Associate or Counsel level role focusing on biotech patent prosecution, opinion, and counseling.
Located in the firm's San Diego office.
Requires at least 5+ years of experience in patent law.
Must possess a technical background in biochemistry, immunology, large molecule, and microbiology.
Experience or appreciation for organic chemistry and bioinformatics is desired.
Significant experience practicing before the USPTO is essential.
Candidates must have a JD from an accredited U.S. law school, active California Bar admission, and be a registered U.S. Patent Attorney or have the ability to become one.
A Ph.D. is preferred but not required if you have substantial IP diligence and prosecution experience in the Life Sciences sector.
The target annual base salary range for this role in San Diego is $315,000 to $455,000+.
The total compensation package also includes potential discretionary bonuses, incentive packages, and firm-sponsored benefits.
