Overview

Position: Full-time Senior Associate or Counsel, dedicated to brief writing.
Practice Area: National Class Action practice.
Location: Based in Chicago.
Experience: At least 7+ years in sophisticated legal research and writing.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in class action matters is preferred.
Core Responsibilities: Prepare substantive briefs and motions, including complex dispositive motions, oppositions to class/collective treatment, decertification motions, motions for summary judgment, motions to compel arbitration, appeals, and mediation statements.
Key Skills: Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills, with the ability to formulate and execute briefing strategy.
Legal Knowledge: Ability to stay current with employment and class action law developments across various jurisdictions.
Bar Admission: Must be admitted to the Illinois Bar.
Background Preference: Big Law experience is preferred.
Compensation Range: Target annual pay is $300,000 - $375,000, with actual pay varying based on experience, skillset, and market factors.
Total Compensation: The total compensation package may also include discretionary bonuses, incentive packages, and firm-sponsored benefits.
