Candidates must have 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience, either as an agent or attorney.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field is required; a graduate degree is a plus.
Active USPTO registration and admission to a state bar (or eligibility for waiver) are mandatory.
Required experience includes working with mechanical technologies.
The role also requires the ability to handle chemical or materials science patent applications as needed.
Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills are expected.
The anticipated initial annual salary range for this position is $175,000 – $255,000.
Total compensation includes the initial salary, productivity and discretionary bonuses, and a benefits package (life, health, accident, and disability insurance; 401(k) plan).
Attorneys are expected to work from a Faegre Drinker office three days per week.
