Priya was absolutely amazing for helping me get placed in my current position! I cannot recommend her highly enough. I first contacted Priya when I was thinking of looking for a lateral position. She was patient and was available to chat about the market and what I was looking for. My “maybe” search turned into an active search a few weeks later, and this is when Priya really helped me out. She helped me figure out out what position I was looking for, what kind of firm, and geographical location. Priya helped hone my resume with several iterations, and would give me a reason for why something was removed or kept in when I would disagree. She was very open with me about shortcomings I needed to address, or strengths I should play up. While this can be sometimes a harsh process, Priya friendliness made it easy and it was clear that we were on the same team. We then did a couple rounds of mock interviews till I felt comfortable with all the questions I would likely be asked. Priya was invaluable in the interview process as she helped me craft answers to questions that addressed some of my weaknesses. I can tell from my initial answers on the mock interviews that I would have had a lot fewer offers without Priya’s help. Priya was also helpful in providing information for each interview I appeared for, and having a quick discussion about the firm and the interviewees before I appeared for most interviews. I was located on the east coast, and I interviewed for lateral positions across the country in both large markets and smaller markets. Priya handled all the logistics for all my interviews. I started looking for positions in December, and had the offer I ultimately accepted by January. Priya worked tirelessly with me over the holidays and into the new year to get me placed. Priya was also invaluable for negotiating my compensation and benefits. Overall, I can’t imagine my search being as fruitful without Priya’s help.
