Overview

The role encompasses substantial patent litigation experience, including developing case strategy, managing fact and expert discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing substantive motions, preparing witnesses, developing validity and invalidity contentions, and supporting trial teams.
Candidates are required to have experience in the mechanical arts combined with knowledge of computer technology, coding, and signal processing, and a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Finnegan’s litigation practice addresses all aspects of IP-related disputes, from complex patent litigation and appeals to high-profile trademark disputes, with its litigators handling cases before courts and government agencies across the United States, Germany, and the UK.
The firm’s litigation teams possess expertise in handling business disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, advertising, and trade secrets, and have represented clients in over 200 appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in the last five years.
