Overview

This is an Associate position within Foley & Lardner's Financial Regulatory practice.
The firm requires candidates to have 3-4 years of relevant experience, corresponding to the Class of 2022-2023.
The role offers flexibility to be based in any of Foley's U.S. offices.
You will counsel a diverse client base, including banks, credit unions, FinTechs, non-bank commercial and consumer lenders, servicers, consumer reporting agencies, and technology providers.
Key responsibilities involve advising on federal and state financial laws and regulations, such as TILA, FCRA, ECOA, RESPA, and other consumer protection requirements.
Your work will include financial regulatory and state licensing analyses, regulatory interpretation, drafting and negotiating contracts and lending documents, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Experience assisting with regulatory enforcement investigations and actions is a definite plus for this role.
Candidates must possess strong academic credentials, a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, and be an active member in good standing of the Bar where admitted, with timely admission to the Bar of the hiring state being a condition of employment.
The expected salary range for this position is $260,000 - $310,000, with actual pay determined by education, experience, and other job-related factors.
