Foley's nationally integrated Transactions Practice Group principally handles M&A and securities matters for publicly and privately held middle market and upper middle market companies, as well as private equity firms.
The role focuses primarily on U.S. and cross-border M&A transactions, acting as a deal runner to lead transactions day-to-day with limited supervision, which includes driving timelines, coordinating internal and external teams, managing diligence and workstreams, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients and counterparties.
Candidates must have substantial experience representing companies in acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, private offerings, and other general corporate matters.
Ideal candidates have played a lead role in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating principal deal documents, supervising junior team members, and proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Experience advising clients across a variety of industry sectors is a plus.
Required skills include effective project management, sophisticated document drafting, outstanding writing and communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and experience mentoring junior attorneys and overseeing delegated workstreams with minimal supervision.
