Corporate Attorney role in Madison, Wisconsin, for the Transactions Practice Group, at an Associate or Senior Counsel level.
Seeking candidates with 4–8 years of relevant corporate transactions experience.
The practice group handles M&A and securities matters for publicly and privately held middle-market companies, as well as private equity firms.
Primary focus will be on U.S. and cross-border M&A transactions.
Responsibilities include leading transactions day-to-day with limited supervision, driving timelines, coordinating internal and external teams, managing diligence, and serving as a primary client and counterparty contact.
Required experience covers acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, private offerings, and general corporate matters.
Candidates must have played a lead role in M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating principal deal documents, supervising junior team members, and proactively resolving issues.
Essential skills include effective project management, sophisticated document drafting, outstanding writing and communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and mentoring junior attorneys.
Qualifications include a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, strong academic credentials, active bar membership in good standing, and timely admission to the Wisconsin Bar.
The expected salary range for this position is $290,000 - $420,000.
