Overview

Associate position within the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice, based in Chicago.
Requires 2-5 years of experience advising clients on ERISA and employee benefits matters.
Primary focus includes advising on ERISA Title I issues for funds formation, securitization, and investment-related transactions, covering prohibited transaction and fiduciary considerations.
Counsel clients on the design, operation, and ongoing compliance of qualified retirement plans, including defined contribution and defined benefit plans.
Advise on compliance matters for health and welfare plans, such as medical, dental, vision, disability, and life arrangements.
Familiarity with benefits issues arising in transactional contexts (e.g., private funds, investments, financings) is strongly preferred.
Will collaborate with the firm’s corporate, finance, and capital markets teams.
Candidates must have a JD from an ABA accredited law school, active membership in good standing of the Illinois Bar, strong academic credentials, and excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
The expected salary range for this position is $240,000 - $350,000, with final compensation based on education, experience, and other job-related factors.
