Overview

This is an Aviation Attorney opening located in the Washington, D.C. office.
The position is within the firm's Litigation Department.
Candidates should have 6-10 years of general litigation experience and a strong interest in aviation.
Primary responsibilities include advising clients on aviation and aerospace related disputes, regulatory and enforcement matters, investigations, and security issues.
The role also involves work on aviation-related commercial agreements, transactions, and employment matters.
Required litigation skills include drafting pleadings and discovery, arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions.
Applicants must possess strong research and writing skills, a solid academic record, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A Juris Doctorate is required, and candidates must be licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia.
Preferred qualifications include experience in the aviation, transportation, or government contracts industries, prior pilot experience, and previous law firm experience.
The salary range for this position is $245,000 – $280,000.
The firm does not provide sponsorship for this role; applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S. now and in the future.
