This is a Patent Paralegal role requiring a minimum of eight years of experience.
Prepare and file various U.S. patent prosecution documents with the USPTO via EFS-Web and Patent Center, including utility, provisional, and design applications, office action responses, and Information Disclosure Statements.
Handle PCT document preparation and filing with WIPO via ePCT, and coordinate national phase entry of PCT applications globally.
Manage all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent portfolio support, including assignment recordations, sequence listings, issue fee payments, and foreign deadline management.
Communicate directly with clients regarding deadlines and filings, and coordinate with foreign associates and vendors to ensure timely action on international matters.
Perform online research through public access websites and patent offices, and organize and maintain electronic client files and prior art lists.
Experience with CPi docketing software and IPDAS document production/IDS software is beneficial.
Execute special projects such as assignment, intake, and due diligence.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
The hourly rate for the New York City location ranges from $38.47 to $57.70.
