Music Associate role available in the Entertainment & Sports Law Department, located in Atlanta, GA; Los Angeles, CA; or New York, NY.
Seeking candidates with 4-6 years of experience in the music industry.
Requires a Juris Doctorate (JD) and active bar admission in the state of the selected office.
Candidates must have experience from a major label or publisher's business affairs office, or a recognized music industry law firm.
Proficiency in drafting and negotiating music industry contracts, including recording, publishing, side artist, producer, songwriting, merchandising, tour, management, influencer/brand endorsement, operating, and partnership agreements.
Experience reviewing documents for catalog acquisitions (buy or sell side) and coordinating copyright due diligence and trademark searches with IP counsel.
Working knowledge of entertainment-related financing is required.
Strong organizational skills are essential, including the ability to summarize agreements and present data in spreadsheet form.
The salary range for this position in California and New York is $235,000 – $255,000.
