The associate will advise innovative startups, growth-stage companies, and established global enterprises on complex transactions and product launches, encompassing commercial and licensing agreements, intellectual property matters, and product counseling, particularly in cloud computing products and services, software, patents, IT procurement, supply chain, semiconductor, and AI/machine learning.
Candidates must possess deep knowledge of intellectual property and commercial contract law, specifically as it relates to software, hardware, and digital assets, along with familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) and open source license frameworks.
Preferred qualifications include a technical background (e.g., CS, EE, bioengineering) or experience working with clients in cloud computing, semiconductor, hardware, AI, and cybersecurity sectors, as well as experience with international licensing, cross-border transactions, and exposure to IP workflows in M&A or financing transactions and post-closing integration.
