Overview

  • This is an Associate position within the Strategic Transactions and Licensing group, also known as the Tech Group.
  • The role is based in either the Atlanta or Boston office.
  • Responsibilities include running and interfacing with other groups on commercial matters, including business/product counseling, intellectual property, and privacy.
  • The associate will draft and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Work will involve managing Tech Group matters related to financing transactions and M&A (buy-side and sell-side).
  • Clients are emerging companies, venture capital, and growth equity firms in the technology, AI, financial services, and consumer products sectors.
  • Candidates should have a JD from 2019-2021.
  • Required experience includes significant strategic or commercial contracts drafting and negotiation, and/or deal management of technology, commercial, and IP aspects of venture financing or M&A transactions.
  • Candidates should be eager to work with startup and venture capital clients and expand their practice to include more holistic company counseling.
  • Preferred qualifications include admission to the Massachusetts or Georgia State Bar, strong academic credentials, and previous large law firm experience. A technical degree is not required.
  • The salary range for this position is $365,000 – $420,000.
