Overview

This Conflicts Junior Attorney position is based in Tampa, FL, requiring 5 days per week in-office.
You will assist the Professional Standards Partner in managing the conflict resolution process for new business intake.
Responsibilities include processing new client and matter intake, performing conflicts checks, and identifying potential conflicts of interest.
You will communicate with attorneys to resolve conflicts, draft waiver letters, and establish ethical walls and other legal screens.
The role also requires monitoring changes in ethics rules, ethical opinions, case law, and client mergers/acquisitions for conflict identification.
You will provide guidance on conflicts of interest, business intake procedures, and firm policies.
Required qualifications include a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and U.S. bar admission in a jurisdiction where the firm has an office.
You must have prior experience identifying conflicts of interest and demonstrate knowledge of professional conduct rules.
Key skills include strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities to manage a heavy workload and meet deadlines independently.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail, are essential.
Proficiency in research, computer systems, and databases is required.
