Overview

Mid-level Corporate M&A and Securities Associate position.
Requires 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.
Primary focus on capital markets transactions, public company reporting, and compliance.
Experience must include representing issuers in public and private offerings of debt and equity securities.
Responsibilities involve interfacing with the SEC and other regulators; preparing Exchange Act filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements); and counseling public companies on disclosure, corporate governance, and SEC/stock exchange reporting and compliance.
Experience with public and private company M&A transactions is a strong plus.
Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage client relationships.
Excellent academic credentials are required; prior experience at a large regional, national, or international law firm is preferred.
Texas bar admission (or readiness to obtain) and Houston area residency are required at or prior to hire.
Expectation to work in the office at least three business days per week.
