Overview

Mid-level Associate position within the Private Client Dispute Resolution practice.
The role is based in the firm's New York office.
Requires 4-5 years of experience handling trust and estate litigation matters.
Core work involves contested proceedings in Surrogate’s Court.
Responsibilities include representing fiduciaries, beneficiaries, executors, and trustees in a broad range of trust and estate disputes.
Experience with specific Surrogate’s Court matters such as will contests, accounting proceedings, fiduciary removal actions, and discovery proceedings is preferred.
Strong working knowledge of New York Surrogate’s Court procedures and practice is required.
Candidates must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the New York Bar (or eligible for admission).
Experience with Connecticut trust and estate litigation matters and/or admission to the Connecticut Bar is preferred.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
The salary range for this position in New York is $310,000 – $365,000; actual compensation depends on individual qualifications and experience.
