This is a Staff Attorney position within Jones Day’s Business Restructuring and Reorganization practice group.
The role requires 4–6 years of experience in bankruptcy and restructuring law.
This is a firmwide, non-partner track position.
You will primarily support bankruptcy and restructuring representations across all firm offices.
Key responsibilities include coordinating, managing, and preparing court disclosures for bankruptcy matters, covering firm retention as counsel to debtors, official committees, and special counsel engagements.
You will also support legal research and writing initiatives for publications on bankruptcy, restructuring, and distressed mergers and acquisitions.
Required experience includes supporting Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed acquisitions, with a focus on company-side engagements.
Essential skills are strong writing, organizational, and time management, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Candidates must be members in good standing of the Ohio Bar.
