Overview

This is an IP Patent Prosecution Associate role with a focus on Organic Chemistry.
You will prosecute and strategically manage patent portfolios for life sciences clients, specifically in small molecule drug discovery and development.
Key responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications in organic chemistry and related disciplines.
You will conduct freedom-to-operate, validity, and patentability analyses.
You will assist with IP due diligence, portfolio management, and strategic counseling for emerging and established pharmaceutical clients.
You will provide scientific expertise to support litigation, licensing, and other IP-related matters.
A Ph.D. in organic chemistry, synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a related field is required. Highly qualified candidates with an M.S. and several years of industry research experience may also be considered.
You must be registered to practice before the USPTO and admitted to a state bar, both in good standing.
A minimum of one year of prior law firm or in-house patent prosecution experience in the chemistry/pharma space is strongly preferred.
This is an on-site position; no remote or hybrid options are available.
The expected salary range is $225,000 - $495,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
