Overview

  • Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal supporting the IP practice group.
  • Provide litigation support for complex U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) Section 337 investigations, administrative matters, and related district court cases.
  • Manage all phases of ITC Section 337 investigations, including complaint preparation, evidentiary hearings, Commission review, coordinating filings via EDIS per Local and Ground Rules, and preparing witness/exhibit lists, pre-hearing statements, and stipulations.
  • Oversee document review and production, manage e-discovery using platforms like Relativity/Reveal, draft discovery responses, coordinate depositions, organize litigation files, and assist with trial/hearing exhibit preparation, technology setup, and witness logistics for D.C. hearings.
  • Draft correspondence and procedural submissions, interface with clients and co-counsel, monitor dockets (PACER, EDIS), and assist with budgeting, billing, and matter management.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 4 years as an IP litigation paralegal, with at least 2 years directly supporting ITC Section 337 proceedings.
  • Proficiency with EDIS filing procedures, ITC Local Rules and Ground Rules, and hands-on experience with e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Reveal).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large document populations and complex exhibit sets, strong organizational skills to prioritize and meet deadlines, and clear written/oral communication for drafting legal documents.
  • Preferred experience includes supporting parallel federal district court patent litigation, familiarity with USPTO proceedings (IPR, PGR), and proficiency with trial presentation software (e.g., TrialDirector, Sanction).
  • Salary range is $77,000 - $161,000, with final determination based on experience, expertise, and market factors.
  • Hybrid and remote work opportunities are available.
