Mid-level Associate position in the Technology Transactions and Sourcing (TTS) practice group.
Role available in either the Chicago or Atlanta office.
Requires 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) structuring and negotiating complex commercial contracts and technology deals; current law firm experience is mandatory.
Focus on drafting, negotiating, and closing agreements for technology and intellectual property development, deployment, licensing, use, and disposition.
Work also includes sourcing IT and business process services, and managing complex commercial, procurement, and industrial transactions.
Specific deal experience should cover software licensing, cloud services, IP development, channel/distribution, e-commerce, AI/ML agreements, global IT/BPO outsourcing, and digital infrastructure (data centers, telecom).
Conducting intellectual property (IP) due diligence for M&A, private equity, and other corporate/financial transactions is a key requirement.
Preferred experience in fields such as AI/ML, semiconductor/chip development, drug/medical device development, digital assets/cryptocurrency, or payments/payment systems.
Candidates must possess excellent analytical, writing, and project management skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and superior academic credentials from a top-tier law school with relevant coursework in business, technology, and IP law.
The anticipated full-time annualized salary range for this role is $260,000 to $365,000.
