Overview

This Innovation Attorney role focuses on integrating and optimizing legal technology within the firm.
You will report to the Director of Practice Technology & AI.
The role involves advising lawyers, matter teams, and clients specifically within the firm's regulatory practice area.
Key responsibilities include aligning and integrating innovative legal technologies, such as Generative AI, data analytics, and productivity tools, into legal workflows to enhance value, insights, efficiency, and productivity.
You will develop strategies, configure legal technologies (e.g., templates, custom workflows), and apply solutions directly to specific regulatory matters.
Act as a primary liaison between lawyers, clients, and the firm's Technology Department, ensuring technology systems effectively meet practice and client needs, and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
Engage directly with clients on AI projects, managing collaborations, shared workflows, and responding to inquiries regarding the firm’s legal tech functionality, security, and ethical use.
Monitor legal industry trends and emerging technologies, providing analysis and updates to firm management and practice group leadership, and fostering relationships with vendors and industry organizations.
Requires a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent, admission to a relevant state bar, and a minimum of two years of experience as a practicing lawyer (preferably with regulatory experience) or in a legal operations role.
Demonstrated proficiency in legal technology, Artificial Intelligence, and strategic experience evaluating and implementing legal tech solutions is required, ideally within a large law firm or corporate legal department.
Experience in business analysis, solution design, consulting, or client-facing roles is necessary.
Essential skills include the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, design thinking for project implementation, strong problem-solving, and a customer service mindset.
