Manage and oversee all firm technology contracts, focusing on legal review, negotiation, and related risk management, particularly concerning client and firm confidentiality.
Develop and operate firm-wide technology procurement systems, processes, and controls, leading negotiations with counterparties and internal stakeholders.
Implement and maintain a contract lifecycle management tool for technology agreements, including inventory management, scheduled reviews, and renewals.
Establish standard playbooks, templates, and supplier guidelines for various technology agreements, such as software, cloud services, and managed services.
Advise on technology governance, contracting strategies, data privacy, and vendor management as an extended member of the IT leadership team, working with the General Counsel and CIO.
Support the firm's Technology & Innovation Committee and assist the CIO with strategic technology acquisition and risk mitigation, including preventing duplicative services.
Required: Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-approved school and an active state bar license in good standing.
Minimum of three years of technology contract review and negotiation experience, preferably gained at a large law firm, professional services firm, or corporate legal/procurement department.
Possess familiarity with generative artificial intelligence products, data privacy laws (including GDPR), and enterprise technology, along with strong critical-thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
The firm operates entirely in the cloud and actively utilizes AI to enhance legal services, making interest and experience in these areas valuable.
