Overview

  • Serve as a Partner within the Investment Funds and Liquidity Solutions practice group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York, NY.
  • Focus on the formation and operation of private investment funds, liquidity solutions, and related corporate transactions.
  • Advise asset manager and private equity clients on the establishment, fundraising, and ongoing operation of investment funds across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Counsel on corporate transactions involving investment funds, including General Partner (GP)-led secondary transactions.
  • Draft a full range of fund formation documents, including limited partnership agreements, subscription documents, management service agreements, offering materials, and organizational agreements.
  • Develop and provide legal advice to investors on fund terms and conditions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda regarding marketing rules, securities laws, and regulatory compliance for private equity funds and fundraising in the U.S., U.K., and E.U.
  • Requires a Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Law (LL.M.), or foreign equivalent.
  • Requires admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Requires six (6) years of experience as an Associate, Partner, or a related role within the Investment Funds practice group of a global law firm.
  • The hiring salary for this position is $900,000.
