This is for a Junior Attorney role on the Mergers & Acquisitions Clearance Team.
The position is available in either Chicago or Washington, DC.
Candidates must have 1 year of M&A antitrust/competition clearance experience.
A background in regulatory/corporate M&A or experience with private equity fund clients is preferred.
The role focuses exclusively on regulatory antitrust matters, not antitrust litigation.
Key responsibilities include assessing Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) reportability, preparing HSR forms, and managing filing preparation, requiring coordination with clients, internal corporate teams, and opposing counsel.
You will also coordinate with the European team on international merger control compliance.
Additional duties may involve substantive antitrust analysis of competitor transactions, Second Request responses, and general antitrust counseling.
Essential skills include excellent drafting and communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
Training and support for job requirements will be provided by current team members and antitrust partners.
The hiring salary range for this position is $225,000 to $235,000.
