Overview

The Employment group advises organizations of varying sizes across entertainment, health care, financial services, retail, and manufacturing industries.
The practice defends complex wage-and-hour class actions, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, tort, contract, workplace security-related, and trade secret and unfair trade practice claims.
Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, discovery, discovery motions, and dispositive motions, and taking and defending depositions.
The role involves advising clients on employment policies, procedures, and legal risks, and supporting transactional and counseling matters such as employee handbooks, policies, procedures, agreements, training, crisis management, and workplace investigations.
Oral argument experience is preferred; trial or arbitration hearing experience is helpful, though not expected.
Associates contribute to client and industry education through webinars, seminars, speaking engagements, a weekly newsletter, and media commentary on employment law developments.
Experience drafting employment agreements and developing and implementing employer training or audit programs is preferred.
